Yuletide: Ex-Vice chair Olamaboro LG, Hon. Ekele harps on love, felicitates Christians, constituents
The immediate past Vice chairman of Olamaboro local government council, Hon. (Mrs) Blessing Aisha Ekele preaches love as she congratulated her constituents and other Christian faithful at this yuletide season.
Hon. Ekele disclosed this in a statement in Lokoja on Monday, saying that the season calls for sober reflection by all.
She enjoined her constituents to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and love which she said is “the hallmarks of life and teaching of the lord Jesus Christ in his mission on earth” .
The Magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state added that the society will be better off if the people expresses love to one another for a peaceful coexistence, which remains the kernel of essence of creation and attribute of God .
“We are at a period of human existence where morality has taken a flight and love of humanity has taken a back burner .
“Sentiment has taken the centre stage because of quest to satisfy worldly affairs. But for God so love the world that He gave out His begotten son for enthronement of love in the affairs of humanity for a better society.
“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ today, it’s a reminder of the love of God for mankind . We only need to express this, as we refresh the celebration of birth of Jesus Christ today “, she said .
Hon . Ekele, an amazon , philanthropist and a revelation of the new narrative government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration therefore charged leaders, her constituents and Christian faithful to imbibe the spirit of love for dividend of democracy to be evenly distributed to satisfy the essence of creation by God Almighty.
However, Hon Ekele used this season to once again thank her constituents, political and spiritual leaders, including traditional leaders for their support during her stint in the Olamaboro council where she and others contributed to its uplifting to their best ability.
“From indication, my spell at the Olamaboro council remains a prologue to an imperial theme. We will meet again in another dimension of power where I hope to bring my experience to bear to better the lot of my people. Thanking you all”, she said .
