As preparation geared towards 2023 general elections is gaining momentum and the ruling party is living no stone unturned in ensuring it’s secured victory  through implementation of people’s oriented program and policies that will create more opportunities for Nigerian women, youth and most vulnerable in the society.

On Wednesday 29th July, 2022 could be described as history making day with the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) through the National Women leader, Dr. Betta Edu led APC women wing to received some party stalwarts and with a particular reference to the Iyaloja Of Abuja, Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus and thousands of market Women across the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The convener of market women association in Abuja, Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus who led other Iyalojas and Iyalodes on a solidarity visit to the National Secretariat of the APC says the visit was to identify with their party and give their support to boost the chances of the platform ahead of 2023 elections.

Mrs Toyin Badmus noted that their support and solidarity became imperative owing to numerous programs and policies the present administration have designed for women and youth across the country.

According to the business woman, we are in APC secretariat in solidarity with the women and pledged total support and loyalty to the Presidential candidate of the APC in the 2023 election.

Mrs Badmus expressed satisfaction with the massive mobilisation of Women across the Country being coordinated by the office of the National Women Leader as she promised the maximum support of market women across the nooks and crannies of the Country for the success of the APC in the coming Presidential election.

She sought for the needs for Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society to have access to interest free funds, saying that 99 percent of the women are voters.

National Women Leader of the Party, Dr. Betta Edu in her remark thanked the August visitors for their commitment and solidarity with APC, describing Mrs Badmus as a woman of courage whose passion for the welfare and development of market women in Abuja unequaledled.

Dr. Edu further described her as a leader with unusual qualities, profound impacts, and enviable records of achievements.

She enjoined market Women across the country to see the Presidential candidate of the APC as a Man who will guarantee the inclusion of women in government and promote their overall progress and development. His record democratization of access to putting women in strategic positions in the scheme of things is worthy of note.

“There would be room for loans which will make life easy for our market women and every woman should hold their PVC tight and strong, we’re blessed with a Presidential candidate who knows the importance of women’s inclusion in politics and placing women in strategic positions. This visit today is very timely and important as we’ll continue to mobilize women across Nigeria to support and vote for the woman party.” Dr. Edu added.

Earlier, the Deputy National Women Leader, Hajiya Zainab expressed confidence in the leadership of Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a man who has a passion for the overall development of the nation.

According to her, Tinubu will raise the bar if elected president of this great nation. With support from Iyaloja of Lagos, our candidate will get the vote of all market women not only in Lagos rather across the country.

In attendance during the visit was Hon. Bilkisu Abubakar, National Secretary, APC-PYWFl, Hajia Farida Yerima, Hajia Rekia Bagnou, Madam Saroinia Erondu, Asiwaju Women Cooperative, Society, and other women leaders of the APC.
