The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Ambassadors in Nasarawa State, convened a high-level EXCO meeting in Keffi, culminating in critical resolutions following extensive stakeholder consultations.
In a statement released to the media on Saturday and signed by Comr Idris Ojoko, Chairman of PDP Ambassadors, on behalf of the members, it was stated that Dr. Umar Musa Galadima is regarded as an ideal candidate for the Senate, as he strikes a balance in power between the two federal constituencies in the Western District of Nasarawa State, with their support being influenced by grassroots opinions, indicating he could effectively represent diverse interests and promote unity within the region.
The statement also noted that Galadima’s background and public service experience further bolster confidence in his ability to fulfill this role, addressing local needs while navigating federal responsibilities.
According to them, Dr. Umar Musa Galadima is considered a strategic candidate for the 2027 elections, as his ability to “muzzle the numbers” is seen as crucial for success in both primary and secondary elections.

Recall that late Senator Abubakar Sodangi was the first to be elected into the Senate for 12 years from the Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency. So it’s now in the best interest of the party and principle of democracy to zone the ticket back to Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency for fair sharing and representation.
The group noted that With Dr. Umar Musa Galadima as a Senator, the zone is expected to benefit from enhanced legislative activities aimed at addressing various challenges and delivering democratic dividends.
