Nasarawa Youth Coalition Backs Gov Sule, Endorses Wadada for APC Governorship Ticket

A coalition of youth groups in Nasarawa State has endorsed Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu as the preferred candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket ahead of the forthcoming primary election.
The endorsement was made during a press conference held at the KMK Event Centre in Lafia, where the group also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for what it described as his visionary leadership and inclusive approach to governance.
Addressing journalists, Comrade Jaafar M. Loko on behalf of the Coalition of Youth Groups in Nasarawa State, the coalition praised the governor’s achievements across key sectors, including investment, security, and youth empowerment, noting that his administration has created an enabling environment for economic growth and social stability in the state.
The group said Governor Sule’s decision to endorse Wadada followed wide consultations with stakeholders, including youth leaders, and reflected confidence in the capacity of the lawmaker to sustain ongoing development efforts.
“Governor Sule has demonstrated exceptional leadership by carrying young people along in critical decision-making processes. His endorsement of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu is a product of careful consultations and a reflection of the will of the people,” the group stated.
The coalition described Wadada, the Sarkin Yakin Keffi and Senator representing Nasarawa West in the 10th National Assembly, as a seasoned politician with a strong track record in public service.
According to the group, Wadada’s experience as a former member of the House of Representatives and his current role in the Senate underscore his legislative competence and commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
They also highlighted his philanthropic efforts, particularly through the Wadada Education Foundation, which they said has positively impacted many lives across the state.
“Senator Wadada possesses the vision, experience, and compassion needed to consolidate and build on the achievements of the current administration,” the coalition added.
The youth groups, drawn from over 26 organisations across different ethnic and religious backgrounds, pledged their full support for Wadada’s emergence as the APC candidate and eventual victory at the polls.
They assured stakeholders of their readiness to mobilise grassroots support across all wards and local government areas in the state.
The coalition further called on residents, especially young people, to unite behind Wadada’s candidacy, stressing the need for collective efforts to secure a prosperous future for Nasarawa State.
