Karimi Urges APC Members to Embrace Unity, Intensify Grassroots Mobilisation
…..Calls for cohesion ahead of elections, says Tinubu’s victory and APC success in Kogi must remain collective priority
Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has called on members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State to remain united and committed to peaceful engagement as the party prepares for future electoral contests.
Speaking with journalists, the lawmaker stressed that the immediate priority of APC members should be to consolidate the party’s strength through unity and grassroots mobilisation, with a view to securing overwhelming victories for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in forthcoming elections.
Karimi described politics as a grassroots-driven enterprise that thrives on community participation and direct engagement with the people.
He therefore urged party faithful across the state to intensify efforts at the ward and community levels by mobilising support and strengthening the party’s structures.
According to him, Kogi remains a stronghold of the APC, and members must stay focused on advancing the party’s ideals and achievements rather than allowing internal differences to undermine its progress.
“Kogi is an APC state, and the achievements of the APC administration, coupled with the collective efforts of our members, should remain our guiding focus,” the senator said. “When we work together, we strengthen the party and deliver better results for our people.”
He noted that unity, harmony and cohesion must remain paramount among party members, warning that divisive tendencies could weaken the APC’s influence and electoral prospects.
The senator reaffirmed his commitment to fostering togetherness within the party and commended APC members across Kogi State for their resilience and dedication in sustaining the party’s dominance over the years.
Karimi also praised the strides being recorded under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence that the APC would continue to enjoy widespread support in Kogi if members put aside personal interests and embrace the collective vision of the party.
“I remain committed to making the APC strong and united in Kogi State in every way possible,” he stated. “The APC remains the vehicle through which Nigeria can reclaim its rightful place among the comity of nations, and Kogi must continue to play a leading role in that journey.”
Meanwhile, party stakeholders across Kogi West have welcomed the senator’s call for internal harmony, describing unity as critical to sustaining the APC’s dominance and accelerating development across the seven local government areas that make up the senatorial district.
They maintained that a united APC would be better positioned to deliver electoral success and advance the welfare of the people at the grassroots.
