Prince Michael Ojotule Welcomes First Lady Oluremi Tinubu to Kogi
The Kogi State Coordinator of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju/North Central Alliance (SWAGA/NCA), Prince Michael Ojotule, has welcomed the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to Kogi State for her one-day working visit.
Senator Tinubu arrived in Lokoja on Saturday to commence activities aimed at promoting food security, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure development in the North Central region.
Ojotule, who also serves as the South-South Coordinator of the Ododo/Oyibo Support Structure, described the visit as timely and beneficial to the people of Kogi State, particularly women and other vulnerable groups.
He commended the First Lady for her commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), noting that her programmes have continued to provide support for women and communities across the country.
“Today, I joined the people of Kogi State in receiving Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is in Lokoja to flag off the National Community Food Bank Programme for the North Central region,” Ojotule said.
He explained that the programme, which is being implemented under the Renewed Hope Initiative, is designed to address hunger, improve access to nutritious food, and strengthen food security in the region.

According to him, the First Lady is also expected to launch a women’s financial empowerment programme that will provide grants and economic support to vulnerable women to improve their livelihoods.
During the visit, Senator Tinubu will inaugurate the newly completed Kogi State Treasury House, a project expected to enhance fiscal management and strengthen public financial administration in the state.
Ojotule expressed optimism that the First Lady’s visit would further deepen collaboration between the Federal Government and the Kogi State Government in implementing programmes aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
