The Coalition of Youth Support Group for Wadada 2027 has appointed the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, popularly known as Zarma Babban Lafia, as its Grand Patron.
The appointment was announced during an official working visit by the leadership and delegates of the coalition to the APC state secretariat in Lafia, where the delegation was received by the state party chairman and other senior party officials.
The visit formed part of the coalition’s ongoing stakeholder engagement and strategic mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with emphasis on strengthening grassroots structures and fostering greater synergy between support groups and the APC leadership.
During the meeting, the coalition briefed the state party leadership on its programmes, strategic roadmap and planned statewide activities, including the inauguration of grassroots leadership structures across all 13 Local Government Areas and 147 electoral wards in Nasarawa State.
The coalition also unveiled plans for empowerment and welfare programmes aimed at supporting communities, strengthening grassroots participation and consolidating support for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections
Coalition Seeks Bello’s Support for Grassroots Mobilisation
Presenting the appointment letter, Chairman of the Coalition of Youth Support Group for Wadada 2027, Comr. Jaafar Muhammad Loko, formally sought the support and guidance of Dr. Aliyu Bello in advancing the group’s programmes.
He requested the APC chairman’s strategic counsel, technical guidance and assistance in facilitating resources and sponsorship for the coalition’s planned empowerment and welfare initiatives.
Responding, Dr. Aliyu Bello expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him by the coalition and accepted the appointment as Grand Patron.
He pledged to support and mentor the group while commending its youth-driven mobilisation efforts and commitment to the progress of Nasarawa State and the APC.
“In recent times, this coalition stands out as one of the most organized and purposeful support groups received in this office. I urge all members to maintain commitment, dedication to our core objectives, and strict internal discipline,” Bello said.
Bello Backs Wadada, Calls for APC Unity
The APC chairman also used the occasion to speak on the political prospects of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, highlighting what he described as the senator’s leadership qualities, legislative achievements and belief in a functional reward system.
Bello assured supporters that sustained commitment to the APC and support for Senator Wadada would produce positive outcomes, while calling on party members to remain united and committed to the party’s candidates.
He urged APC supporters across Nasarawa State to prioritise unity, cohesion and collective support for all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting climaxed with the formal presentation of the appointment letter, strategic project proposals and other relevant documents to the APC chairman.
The event also featured an official photo session involving members of the coalition and party officials.
The large turnout of coalition leaders and representatives from across the state was seen as a demonstration of growing grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 political season.
