By Yahaya Idris, Ilorin

The Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, has intensified grassroots mobilisation efforts in Kwara State, activating thousands of women in Kwara South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The mobilisation, held in Offa, headquarters of Kwara South, formed part of the ongoing nationwide community activation exercise targeting 176,846 communities across the country.

The exercise was coordinated by Edu’s Honorary Assistant, Hon. Taiye Mutiat Omotosho, who represented the APC women mobilisation leadership at the gathering.

Addressing the women, Omotosho said the mobilisation was aimed at strengthening grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.

She said the women were prepared to commence door-to-door mobilisation across communities, wards and polling units once the directive to begin the next phase of the campaign was issued.

“I mobilised these thousands of women you are seeing here today on the directive of my boss and Director of Women Mobilisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, for the re-election and continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in office till 2031,” she said.

According to her, Dr Edu would personally visit the women to present the message of the administration’s Renewed Hope 2.0 agenda.

“Dr Betta asked me to inform you that she is coming in person to address you and bring the message of Renewed Hope 2.0 of Mr President and his beautiful, hardworking wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to you all,” Omotosho added.

The women reportedly responded enthusiastically, reaffirming their support for President Tinubu and the APC.

They also pledged to extend the mobilisation campaign to women in communities, wards and polling units throughout Kwara South.

The gathering underscored the growing emphasis being placed by the APC on grassroots women mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Omotosho thanked the participants for their turnout and urged them to maintain unity and sustain engagement at the grassroots.

She said the mobilisation represented the beginning of a broader effort to strengthen the APC women’s structure across Kwara State and other parts of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 polls.
