The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Women Mobilisation Directorate has set a target of 40 million women votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.
The target is expected to form part of discussions at the APC PCC Women Stakeholders’ Summit scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, in Abuja.
The summit, convened by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is expected to attract prominent women leaders and stakeholders from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking with journalists on Saturday ahead of the summit, Director of the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, said the party’s women wing was strengthening its grassroots structures to secure massive support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.
Edu described the summit as an important platform for consolidating the APC’s women mobilisation strategy nationwide.
She also commended the First Lady for convening the meeting, saying it would provide an opportunity for women stakeholders to unite, strengthen their structures and deepen grassroots engagement.
“When we put our strength together and unite behind our President and his wife, victory is certain,” Edu said.
According to her, the summit would also feature initiatives aimed at empowering hundreds of women while strengthening the party’s grassroots mobilisation network.
She disclosed that many delegates from the states had already arrived in Abuja, while more were expected to participate in the summit.
Edu also commended state governors and their wives for supporting the participation of women stakeholders.
She, however, stressed that the Abuja summit was only one component of the directorate’s wider mobilisation programme.
She said community engagements, household visits and door-to-door mobilisation were continuing across the country.
“Most of the delegates from the states have already arrived in Abuja, and more are expected. But our community engagements and door-to-door mobilisation have continued across the country,” she said.

Edu said the directorate’s grassroots structure covers 176,846 communities nationwide, with women expected to remain at the centre of the campaign strategy.
“It is a 100-day sprint, and we will not relent until victory is achieved for President Tinubu. Our strength is in our numbers,” she added.
