40 Million Women Mobilisation: APC Activates Grassroots Network for Tinubu 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with its women mobilisation structure stepping up engagements across communities and wards nationwide in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The mobilisation is reportedly being coordinated through the women mobilisation directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, led by Dr Betta Edu, under the leadership of First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The campaign has been framed around a target of 40 million women votes for President Tinubu, with organisers seeking to establish sustained engagement with women at the grassroots.

Nigeria currently has 176,846 polling units nationwide, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), providing the geographic framework around which political parties organise their grassroots activities.
Reports from different parts of the country indicate that women-focused meetings and mobilisation activities have taken place in areas including Jigawa, Kano, Zamfara, Kwara, Imo, Cross River, Benue, Plateau, Oyo, Ondo, Rivers and Osun states.
In Kwara, for instance, thousands of women were recently mobilised in the Kwara South Senatorial District as part of activities linked to the campaign’s wider grassroots activation programme.
The organisers say the strategy is to encourage women to engage directly with households and communities while communicating the administration’s policies and programmes.
Among the issues highlighted during the mobilisation are education support through the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), as well as women and family-oriented empowerment programmes associated with the Renewed Hope Initiative.
NELFUND’s official student-loan information confirms that approved loans may cover institutional fees and upkeep, depending on a student’s verified eligibility and application.
The APC women mobilisation campaign is expected to continue with ward, community and grassroots meetings as the 2027 election approaches.
INEC has fixed January 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections.
The campaign slogan adopted by supporters is: “APC Women, One Strength, Our Victory.”
