Onah of Toto charges title holders, subjects to promote peace

The Onah of Toto, Alhaji Muhammed Umar Azaki, has charged traditional title holders in the area to contribute their quota to the development of the society by ensuring peaceful coexistence.
Alhaji Umar Azaki, the Ohinoyi Ogye (Onah of Toto), has urged traditional title holders and subjects to actively engage in community development and promote peaceful coexistence.
The first class monarch emphasized that their roles are crucial in fostering unity and addressing societal challenges.
Traditional rulers, as custodians of culture and community leaders, are expected to mediate conflicts and encourage harmony among diverse groups within their jurisdictions
He made the remarks during the turbaning ceremony of Mohammed Angulu as Ohinoyi of Ohizi Ogabo, which took place at his palace in Toto.
The palace of Onah of Toto was filled to capacity as traditional title holders, friends and family of Mohammed Angulu, gathered to celebrate with him as he assumes the throne of Ohinoyi Ohizi Ogabo.
As Umar Azaki, the Onah of Toto, turbaned the new Ohinoyi Ohizi Ogabo, he emphasized the importance of maintaining peace in Ohizi and the broader Toto community, thereby enabling meaningful development to flourish.
Furthermore, he encouraged other traditional rulers, district and village heads to adopt a proactive approach to their responsibilities and to develop innovative ideas that drive grassroots development.
Mohammed Angulu, the newly appointed Ohinoyi of Ohizi Ogabo, marked his investiture with a reception at the central Mosque Ohizi Ogabo, joined by friends and family, to rejoice in his accomplishment.
The dignitaries present at the event praised him as a courageous and trustworthy man of proven integrity, calling on the community to provide him with the necessary support to ensure his success.
Reacting, Mohammed Angulu, Ohinoyi of Ohizi Ogabo, appreciated the Onah of Toto for finding him deserving of the traditional leadership of Ohinoyi Ohizi Ogabo, and vowed not to fail him and the community.
