Kogi: Women’s group joins call for Micheal Ojotule to represent Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela Odolu and Ofu Federal Constituency in 2027
….Says Gov Ododo should be supported to complete his 8-year tenure due to his good performance

Prince Micheal Ojotule, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, has been recommended by a coalition of women’s groups to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing the Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela Odolu, and Ofu Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections.

The women’s groups under its coordinator, Hajiya Rekiya Tijani have unveiled his grassroots support and leadership qualities, emphasizing their desire for a candidate who will champion their interests and ensure strong representation at the National Assembly.
Tijani explained further that the “Clarion Call” referenced a movement of solidarity and active participation by women from these LGAs, who are determined to influence the electoral process and ensure the emergence of the best possible leader like Micheal Ojotule for their constituency.
She said Prince Micheal Ojotule’s support group is already active in Ibaji, Idah, Igalamela Odolu and Ofu Local Government Areas, which indicate a strong grassroots base and mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections
Hajiya Rekiya Tijani, coordinator and convener of the women group noted that Prince Michael Ojotule’s political antecedent was reason behind their support and said God has answered their prayer to ensure he get to the National Assembly
The former women coordinator for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign in 2023, described Prince Michael Ojotule as an ideal choice for the people of Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela Odolu, and Ofu Federal Constituency.
She stated that over 25 groups of women are ready to start door-to-door campaigns to support Ojotule.

She said the women coalition under her leadership is also actively campaigning for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his deputy, Salifu Joel Oyibo, aiming for them to complete their two terms in office.
She praised Governor Ododo for restoring the state’s lost glory and advised potential gubernatorial aspirants to shelve their ambitions for the state’s progress and development
