Prof. Sandra C. Duru, the fiery petitioner in the high-profile case against Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, in a public notice, vowing not to withdraw her petitions filed with the Nigeria Police Force and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF).

In a no-holds-barred statement titled “Public Notice and Legal Clarification,” Prof. Duru, listed as a witness in Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s matter, accused mischief-makers of twisting facts to shield alleged culprits, insisting her petitions stand firm in the national interest.

Justice Not Optional: Natasha Akpoti Must Face Prosecution Despite Akpabio’s Forgiveness – Prof. Duru Insists

“My fellow Nigerians, remain calm and law-abiding as we patiently await official responses to our duly filed petitions… No citizen is more Nigerian than another, and crime must never be tolerated, excused, politicized, or forgiven through sentiment,” she declared.

Prof. Duru, who described herself as an “independent petitioner” with no political or personal ties to Akpabio beyond her witness status, rubbished claims of petition withdrawal.

“I have not withdrawn my petitions, and I have no intention of withdrawing them,” she stated unequivocally, noting the AGF’s Notice of Discontinuance on December 15, 2025. weeks before Akpabio’s “emotional Christmas/New Year remarks”, applied only to his case, not hers.

Prof. Duru affirmed, She independently filed her petition against Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. She did not accompany Akpabio in April 2025 to file any complaint.

The Police formally assigned and investigated her petition. But she was never served the investigation report, despite requests and procedure.

Her case, she stressed, was not among those discontinued by the AGF, which explicitly named Akpabio and former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello.

“Prof. Sandra Duru was not mentioned. My case remains pending, unresolved, and unprosecuted,” the statement read.

Prof. Duru highlighted Natasha’s own police statement admitting contact with her, corroborated by Mr. Ina, who linked them. Yet, she alleged, Natasha and “hired whistleblowers” claimed audio evidence was “cloned, altered, and AI-generated,” even accusing Prof. Duru of paying for it.”

Independent forensic examination conclusively proved these claims to be false,” she revealed.

The notice escalated with international red flags, referencing the alleged murder of Miss Umoren, organ harvesting claims, and a transplant linked to Akpabio’s wife.

“The public deserves to know: What were the conclusions? Were they investigated? Who was found culpable? Have prosecutions followed?” Prof. Duru demanded.

Dismissing slurs of mental instability, she asked: “Am I mentally unstable… or did I submit admissible, forensically examined evidence to the Police in good faith?” Prof. Duru urged an “official police press briefing or press conference” to clear the air, restore confidence, and kickstart “uninterrupted prosecution of all culpable persons without political interference.”

“I strongly believe the appropriate authorities will exercise their constitutional duties… Nigeria must work. Justice must speak. The law must prevail,” she concluded.
