Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) has officially matriculated 8,604 newly admitted students across its various faculties in a colourful ceremony that attracted parents, guardians and well-wishers from different parts of the state and beyond.

The swearing-in ceremony, held on Friday at the university convocation square, main campus in Keffi, commenced with a grand academic procession led by principal officers and members of the academic community, setting a formal tone for the historic event.

Declaring the ceremony open on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Halima Doma Kutigi, congratulated the newly admitted students and urged them to uphold the values and standards of the institution.

She emphasized that the university is reputed for discipline and good conduct, noting that no major issue concerning the 2024/2025 academic session had been brought before the Senate and therefore charged the students to maintain exemplary behaviour at all times.

The VC warned the freshers to desist from examination malpractice, sexual harassment, bullying and cultism, stressing that such acts would not be tolerated.
