CUSTECH Expels Four Students, Rusticates One Over Misconduct
The Management of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State, has expelled four students for various acts of misconduct, while another has been rusticated for one academic session.
Those expelled include two 200-level female students sanctioned for involvement in lesbianism, as well as two others found culpable in cases of physical assault, stabbing, and the cloning of fellow students’ pictures. In addition, a student was rusticated for one academic session over fighting and physical assault.
The decision was reached by the University Senate at its 30th Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
In separate letters issued to the affected students, the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Mr. Eli Usman Gbadafu, stated that the Senate’s decisions take immediate effect.
The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, commended the Students’ Disciplinary Committee for what he described as a thorough and diligent handling of the cases.
He reiterated the University’s commitment to producing graduates grounded in both character and learning, stressing that the institution will not compromise on discipline or adherence to its rules and regulations.
