Dunsin Oyekan to Lead Gospel Artists at Delta 2026 Praise Day

Renowned international gospel minister Dunsin Oyekan will headline the 2026 Delta State Thanksgiving and Praise Day, a flagship worship event marking Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s third anniversary in office.
Other gospel ministers scheduled to perform at the event include; Asu Ekiye, Mera Owili, Moses Bliss, Jerry Ekpekuro, Solo Urete, M & Revelation, and the Mass Choir.
The annual event is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at the Dome Event Centre in Asaba, Delta State.
Former governors of the state, senior government officials, political and party leaders, traditional rulers, church leaders, political appointees, past and serving elected representatives, captains of industry, worshippers, and residents across the state are expected to attend.
Chairman of the Third Anniversary Celebration Committee and Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, said Apostle Joshua Selman will minister on spiritual renewal and thanksgiving during the service, which is designed to appreciate God for His faithfulness, protection, and blessings upon Delta State over the past three years.
He noted that the gathering reflects the administration’s commitment to acknowledging God’s role in governance and development, while seeking divine guidance for sustained peace, unity, and progress.
Dr. Emu added that the celebration aligns with Psalm 100:4: “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise,” underscoring the importance of gratitude in sustaining divine favour.
The Praise Day will feature worship, prayers, and intercession for Delta State and Nigeria, alongside reflections on key achievements under Governor Oborevwori’s administration.
Residents and guests have been encouraged to attend the programme, which promises a solemn atmosphere of worship, thanksgiving, and spiritual upliftment.
