Former Nasarawa Speaker Balarabe Condoles Lawmaker Omadefu Over Sister’s Death
The immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has condoled with the member representing Keana Constituency, Hon. Muhammed Adamu Omadefu, over the death of his younger sister, Asma’u Adamu Omadefu.
Balarabe Abdullahi, who is also the Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, paid a condolence visit to the lawmaker at his mother’s residence in Lafia on Friday.
It was gathered that Hon. Omadefu lost his younger sister, Asma’u Adamu Omadefu, in the early hours of Friday following a prolonged illness.
During the visit, the former Speaker expressed deep sympathy to the lawmaker and his family over the painful loss.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased her shortcomings, grant her Aljanatul Firdausi as her final abode, and give the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding, Hon. Muhammed Adamu Omadefu appreciated Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and his entourage for identifying with him and his family during their moment of grief.
He prayed for Allah’s abundant blessings upon them for their show of love and solidarity.
According to the lawmaker, the late Asma’u Adamu Omadefu, fondly called Ajima, was the last child of the family. He noted that she was born on a Friday and also passed away on a Friday after battling a prolonged illness.
The former Speaker was accompanied on the condolence visit by former member representing Toto/Gadabuke Constituency, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa, and the Special Adviser to the Governor, Alhaji Muhammed Usman, among other associates.
