Oborevwori Celebrates Delta at 35, Salutes Past Leaders and Deltans

Religious leaders under the Forum of Ministers and Church Workers endorse Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for a second term during a prayer and endorsement programme in Asaba, praising his administration's infrastructure development and implementation of the MORE Agenda.

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has paid tribute to past leaders and citizens for their contributions to the state’s development as Delta celebrates its 35th anniversary.

The governor described the anniversary as a landmark occasion that provided an opportunity to appreciate the resilience, unity and determination of Deltans over the past three and a half decades.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Oborevwori commended former leaders of the state, traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil servants, private-sector stakeholders and other citizens for their contributions.

He said the progress recorded by Delta since its creation could not be separated from the collective efforts of its people.

Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s determination to consolidate existing achievements while pursuing infrastructural renewal, economic expansion and people-centred governance.

According to him, government’s development programmes are designed to create opportunities and improve the quality of life of citizens.

The governor urged Deltans to preserve the unity that had sustained the state over the years and continue to support efforts to advance development.

He declared that Delta had entered a “shining era” and expressed confidence in the state’s future.

He wished Deltans at home and abroad a happy 35th anniversary and called for continued commitment to peace, unity and collective responsibility.
