Abia chieftain reiterates support in complementing efforts of security outfits to curb crimes, makes a donation

An Abia chieftain and Chairman, Taurus Hotels Ltd Umuahia, Chief Emeka Utah, has harped on collective hands to complement efforts of governments at all levels in Nigeria in the current fight against insecurity.
He also made case for adequate provision of logistics to security agencies and outfits by government and corporate individuals to strengthen the existing security architecture of Abia, and live up to other expectations especially in intelligence gathering and provision of sophisticated arms and ammunition to combat the ravaging monster that has been threatening the corporate existence of Nigeria unity.

Chief Utah who made his feelings known in a statement on Friday, against the worsening insecurity in many parts of the country, also restated his willingness to encourage community policing which is under the control of existing local vigilante groups manning nooks and crannies of both urban and rural areas.
On his recent meeting with members of the Afugiri Ohuhu community Vigilante Group who paid him a courtesy visit in his country home, Umuegwu Afugiri, Umuahia North LGA, where the local security group reeled out some of the achievements and challenges they are having which include lack of basic security equipment, Chief Utah used reassured his total commitment and willingness towards contributing to the welfare and security of Afugiri Ohuhu and the entire state.
He also assured them of his support and stated that the security of not only Afugiri but that of every Ohuhu man or woman is important to him, he encouraged them to keep up their efforts in making sure that Afugiri secured.
The business tycoon further assured them of his readiness to assist whenever he was called upon.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of Afugiri Ohuhu Vigilantes Group, Mr Chinenye Okpara, thanked him for his magnanimity and generous support towards the security of the people and vowed to ensure the security of every Afugiri resident.
