Nigerian Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress from Abia State, Dr Uche Sampson Ogah, has congratulated a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Acho Obioma, on the occasion of his Inauguration as Abia State Chairman of the APC.

Ogah also congratulated other elected officers of the State Executive Committee of the party on their inauguration, expressing total confidence that the new state party officers will deliver on the mandate bestowed on them.

In a statement forwarded to journalists in Umuahia, on Friday, Dr Ogah described the newly inaugurated members of Abia State Working Committee of the party, as men and women of proven integrity who cannot trade the progressive party for personal aggrandisement, recalling that these distinguished state party officers, had contributed immensely in the development of APC since its formation.

He also opined that APC is now restructured, repositioned and poised to record electoral success that will culminate into an entrenchment of people’s government to foster greater developmental strides in Abia state.

The Minister of State for Mines, further reechoed his call for togetherness among party members, urging those aggrieved over the outcome of the APC state congress conducted in October 2021 in Abia State to close ranks and rally around the Acho Obioma-led State Working Committee, to enable the party to form next government in Abia come 2023, and as well as bring true democratic dividends to the doorsteps of the Abia populaces who had been yearning for a very long time ago for a total rebirth in all facets of governance.

He also commended the out-gone Abia APC Chairman, Hon Donatus Nwankpa and other past state executive committee members of the party, for laying the present foundation that gained the party overwhelming acceptability among the majority citizens of Abia state and beyond.

On the forthcoming APC National Convention, Dr Ogah applauded the National Caretaker Executive and Extra-ordinary Convention Committee led by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State on this singular decision and expressed optimism that the outcome of the coming convention will solidify the party’s stronghold in the country, to be able to sustain and continue its socio-economic, infrastructural and human development in the country.

According to him, “I call on teeming majority leaders and members of our great party, to remain steadfast, loyal and committed to the development of APC as chances of the progressive party are brighter now under this newly inaugurated state executive of the APC led by Hon Acho Obioma, in Abia”.
