The Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority, FHA, Senator Gbenga Ashafa says the cardinal program of the manifestos of President Muhammadu Buhari geared towards providing houses for Nigerians will also open up the rural areas and the hinterland.
He made this remarks in Bwari on Tuesday when the new Minister of state Works and Housing, Alhaji Umar El-Yakubu came on inspection of the ongoing new Federal Housing Authority FHA estate , located at Bwari in Abuja.
He said the deliberate policy of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari towards the provision of houses was not only meant to resolve accomodation problems, but provide job opportunities to many others.
He told the Minister that the project convened in March 2022 will be delivered in 48 months, sometimes in 2026 appealing for both moral and financial supports from the Ministry.
The Bwari housing project consisting of 337 units of phase 1 covering 54 hectares, of the 300 hectares of land is in 3 bedroom ordinary, and terrace as well as 2 bedroom.
He reassured the Minister that alot of patronage will be awaiting the new estate with the concentration of many government institutions in the area.
“We are not unaware that JAMB, Law School, NISS and many other federal government agencies will take advantage of the location to get allocation of the new area inconjunction with the FHA mortgage Bank.”
The new Minster of state Works and Housing, Alhaji Umar El-Yakubu maintained that the promise to deliver on infrastructure by the present administration was on course across the country, saying President Muhammadu Buhari has delivered on its mandate.
He says alot of opportunities are abound during and after the construction, saying job opportunities of all spheres and phases will be provided to reduce unemployment rates in Nigeria.
El- Yakubu promised to support the efforts of the management of FHA in accordance with the federal government template to providing housing for all to Nigerians .
