The immediate past Administrator of Koton-Karfe, Kogi Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa, has congratulated the newly coronated chieftaincy title holders which the State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello was also conferred as the ‘Omeiza Obanyi’ Gegu Beki Kingdom.
Barr. Tanko, who is the Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the Governor of Kogi State made this known while addressing Journalists at the venue, during the just concluded traditional event in Gegu Beki, Kogi LGA of the State on Sunday, described it as an expression of confidence the people of Kogi LG and particularly Gegu Beki had on the youthful Governor as purposeful, visionary and detribalised leader.
Barr. Tanko specifically lauded the State Governor, Yahaya Bello for having the spirit of rewarding sincerity, hard work and loyalty stressing that Hon. Engr. Bashir Gegu as commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, was a lesson for all politicians that, indeed loyalty pays.
He also congratulated his friend and Director Kogi Local Government, Barr. Abubakar Ibrahim Sadiq, whom he described as a workable leader that has the interest of entire Kogi Local workforce at heart, for his uncommon support and cooperation during his reign as the Administrator of the council.
Barr. Tanko, who is the Danmasani Koton-Karfe rejoiced with Hon Suleiman Muhammed Idowu, expressed confidence in his ability towards attracting meaningful development to his host community.
The former Council boss, thanked Nyiwon of Gegu Beki, HRH. Alh. Muhammed Alhassan Abba, Onah of Toto, HRH. Alh. Umar Muhammed Azaki, all the graded/ungraded Chiefs and the stakeholders and all the guests from Toto, Abaji, Mozum and Okene who were present during the occasion.
He also appreciated the “resilience and uncommon courage” of some eminent sons of Toto LG such as the former Guber aspirant in the 2019 election in Nasarawa State, Dr. Muhammed Musa Maikaya (Ciroman Toto) , Barr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, (Matawallen Toto) state Commissioner for health, Hon. Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya and their large supporters for adding colours to the event.
In the same vein, Barr. Tanko equally Congratulated the entire Kogi LG political appointees especially a proud son of Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources who was also coronated as Masani Gegu Beki, as well as the past political appointees of the party in Kogi LG ably led by their representatives.
Equally, the former council chairman, specifically thanked the national assembly member of the area, Barr. Ibrahim Shaba Ibrahim, Kogi State Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Asuku as well as other leaders of the area that have contributed to the success of the event.
