A Kogi-born rare philanthropist, Mr. Christopher Tosin Oni, Saturday condole with Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole over the death of his wife, Mrs. Esther Zainab Kolawole.
Mr. Oni, who led a high power delegation comprising youths, women and elders paid the Speaker a condolence visit at his residence Lokogoma Phase 2, along Okene, Kabba road Lokoja.
The philanthropist cum grassroots politician described her passage as painful, unfortunate, and devastating considering her role in society.
He urged the Speaker to take solace in the lord for the fact that the Almighty God gave and taketh at his own appointed time.
“I urge you to be strong at this moment of grief and be consoled by the quality of life she led and the opportunity she had to raise a good home and affect other people around her positively.
“I pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased and I also pray that God gives you and the loved ones she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss,” Oni said.
Global Times Nigeria report that the Speaker of State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole commended the philanthropist for coming down to identify with him and the entire family at this trying time.
He prayed to God for the safe return back to his destination and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
Oni who is an origin of Egbe, Yagba West of Kogi West Senatorial district is on a clarion call to step ward to serve the good people of Kogi State diligently.
