Mr. Isah Kaika Obagu, (JP), Commissioner three at the Nassarawa State House of Assembly Service Commission has bagged an award of Eminent Peace Ambassador from the International Association of World Peace Advocates United Nations Peace Volunteers.

Amb. Obagu while presenting his award to the management of the State Assembly today in Lafia has appreciated United Nations for the award and assured of his determination to promote peace at all times.

” I am overwhelmed with this award as Eminent Peace Ambassador from International Association of World Peace Advocates United Nations Peace Volunteers.

” As this award will spur me to do more in promoting peace not only in the state but in the country and the world at large.

” Peace is development. Without peace, we cannot be here, so let continue to preach and promote peace at all times.

” It is also the requirement for the development of every society

” As no society will achieve meaningful progress and development without peace,” he said.

Obagu has appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in promoting peace in the state.

He called on the management and staff of the assembly to join hands with the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi to take the House to the next level of development.

Responding, Mr. Ego Maikeffi Abashe, the Clerk of the House has congratulated Obagu for a well-deserved award.

He has also appreciated the International Association of World Peace Advocates United Nations Peace Volunteers for finding Obagu worthy of the award.

” This award is not only for you but it is for the Assembly and the state at large considering the importance of peace to societal development,” he said.

The clerk has expressed their commitment to collaborate with any individual and Organizations that are out to promote peace in the state and the country at large.

It would be reported that the award was signed by Ambassador Per Stafsen, World Peace President Denmark, International Association of World Peace Advocates.
