Dele Momodu Describes EFCC Ordering Bankers To Declare Their Assets Before June 1 As Cruelty, Dictatorship

Following the order by the newly appointed Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa with sole aimed to fight financial and economic related crimes in country.

Bawa To EFCC Workers: “It Is Unacceptable To Come Late And Expect To Earn A Full Salary By Month End.”

Dele Momodu, the CEO and Publisher of Ovation International in his prompt response to one of the latest moves taken by the anti-corruption agency, where EFCC ordered employees of banks in Nigeria to declare their assets, adding that such idea is dictatorship and cruelty owing to the fact that the banks employees are employed to work and not to claim ownership of financial institutions.

According to him, such actions can only thrive under a military government.

Chief Dele Momodu asked why the commission did not first start with government agencies and politicians, going further to say that the banking industry largely belongs to private individuals.
