The call became necessary as the former NARSDA boss is accused of funding and sponsoring so many media onslaught against the Dr Halilu Shaba, who has the letter of appointment to take over as acting Director General since 2020 but was denied by Dr Ogbonaya Onu who is playing a tribal and religious game.

In a statement signed by the leader of the group, Bar Liasu Mohammed and obtained by this medium called on the officers and men of the Department of State Security DSS to investigate Dr Dubem who they accused of impersonating by introducing himself as Acting Director General immediately Mr Jonathan Angulu, who was then an authentic acting Director-General retired.
The North Central group also called on President Mohamed Buhari to call the Hon Minister of Science and Technology Dr Ogbonaya Onu to order as they accused him of playing both ethnic and religious card with the aim of destabilising the space agency.
He also accused him of intentionally creating lacuna in the agency which lead to Chizea resumed as Acting DG even without president Buhari’s approval.
The group called on the senate to confirm Dr Shaba’s appointment without delay, as he is the most qualified and most senior with strong scientific/professional background.
The group thanked the President for the appointment of Dr Shaba, saying he will deliver and turn around the space Agency to international best standards.
