Eid-El-Fitri: Kogi CP Assures of Adequate Security Measures; orders for a watertight Security across the State

A press statement from the Kogi State Police Command, issued in Friday, SP William Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer, said the state commissioner of police, CP Edward Egbuka, psc (+), has felicitate with the Muslim on the occasion of 2022 Eid-El-Fitri Celebrations.

The CP said the command under his watch will ensure a hitch free celebrations, just as ordered for a watertight Security across the State before, during and after the celebrations. He stated this during a Conference with senior Officers in Lokoja.

He charged all Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders as well as the Divisional Police Officers to beef up security within their Areas of Responsibilities and to ensure massive deployment of patrol teams along the major highway and undercover operations to black spots, flash points, and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality across the State. Also to make sure that detection of crimes are prompt to serve as effective deterrent to all criminals.

The Commissioner of Police reiterates the Command’s level of preparedness, determination and commitment in synergy with other security agencies in ensuring safety of lives and property.

To this end, the Commissioner urges the good people of the State to continue to collaborate with the security Forces with credible and useful information on the activities of Criminal elements in order to curtail their acts.
