Engineer Nuraini Abdullahi Adamu, the son of the first civilian Governor of Nasarawa state and the serving senator, representing Nasarawa Western district at the National Assembly

, has been recognized with the award for his selfless service to humanity and his contribution to the development of Kana community.

The Grand reception and Award ceremony of Eloyi, Kana Community of Agwada development area, had in attendance illustrious sons and daughters of the community as well as dignitaries from outside the community who gathered to have a glimpse of the event.

Speaking to journalist on the his award, Nuraini, expressed joy for the honour done him by the Kana Eloyi community, stating that the award Wil ginger him to do more towards the development of Kana community and beyond just as he appreciated the organizers of the event for the grand reception in their honour

Those honoured by Kana community are, Federal permanent secretary, Doctor Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, the commissioner for justice and Attorney general of Nasarawa state, doctor Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana, Justice Isa Ibini Kana, the Assistant inspector general of police AIG Ayuba Ede, doctor Joseph Osu Ogbere and Major general Shuaibu Ibrahim, DG NYSC, among others just as the posthumous awards were also giving to the family of late leaders of the community.

Speaking on the importance of education and national development, the director general, National Youth service corps, Major general Shuaibu Ibrahim, represented by director planning and statistics of the scheme, Ahmad Ikaka Wada, said education remained the key to national development and top most priority since colonial administration, calling on Kana community to redouble their spirit in promoting the education of their children for the sustainable development of the community.

On their parts, Senator representing Nasarawa Western zone, Abdullahi Adamu, represented by Air commodore Yahaya Owun retired, and Barrister Labaran Magaji, Federal ministry of Justice, Abuja, commended Kana community for organizing such a memorable event especially by recognizing thir sons and daughters who contributed immensely for the growth and development of the community, called on them to sustain the spirit.

While giving a brief history of Kana Eloyi, the pioneer registrar, Nasarawa State University Keffi, Alhaji Abubakar Kana, disclosed that Kana people originated from Yemen and settled at different places such as Sudan, Khartun, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mali and Borno Kanem Empire and subsequently moved down to Kana, where the people embraced Islam and Christianity respectively.

Earlier, chairman, Kana community, Engineer Okegye Joseph Kana, opined that they decided to organize the event to honour their sons and daughters who dedicated their selfless service to Kana community and appreciated those that contributed for the success of the event, calling for support to enable them succeed.
