FCT 2022: Kuje Council Chairman Emerges PDP Candidate.

Global Times Nigeria had reports that the incumbent Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has emerged as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate in the February, 12, 2022 Council election in the area.

Sabo, who was the sole candidate of the party and was seeking for re – election, emerged through affirmation, which was conducted and monitored by the Chairman of PDP electoral committee, Comrade Ifeanyi Igwe and the INEC officials led by Mrs. Zainab Gbefwi, at the councils town hall amidst tight security on Thursday.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, expressed joy and happiness for emerging as a sole candidate of the PDP in the February, 12, 2022 Council election in the area.
He said his emergence as the sole candidate of the party in the forthcoming Chairmanship election in the area was no doubt as a result of confidence the party executives and stakeholders have in him.

He further noted that his emergence as a sole candidate was also as a result of his administration’s achievements towards providing viable infrastructures to the people across the council, saying his administration will continue to do more in the area of providing infrastructures that will impact on the lives of the electorates.
The chairman said the council has awarded a road project that will connect Chida -Sabo communities of the council which he said was ongoing, adding that the council has also distributed over 56 vehicles and 30 motorcycles to the youths across the wards.
“And we have also shared 40 new grinding machines to our rural women, while about 250 women and youths were also empowered after undergoing hands/skills acquisition programme,” he said.
He added ” just three days ago, we have also been able to support our youths that participated in the just concluded football competition, while 70 disabled persons were also given wheelchairs,” the chairman said.
The chairman disclosed that by season week of May, 2021, the council will come up with another empowerment programme for another set of youths and women across the ten political wards of the council.
