Nasarawa Lawmaker, Angibi Names Son After Former Governor Of the State.

Hon Abdullahi Dahiru Angibi,  member representing Lafia Central constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly  has named his new born baby boy, Umaru, reflecting the immediate past Governor of the state and now Senator representing Nasarawa South, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

Hon. Dahiru Angibi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Account while naming his son in Agyaragyu, Lafia today has promised to ensure proper upbringing of the little Umaru Al-Makura in a Godly way.

The lawmaker said that he named his son after Al-Makura to appreciated mentorship the former governor,  senator of the federal republic for his support and love he has shown and given to him when he contested election in 2015 and the support Al-Makura is still giving to him up to date.

” Sen. Umaru Tanko  Al-Makura is my role model, my mentor. He has supported me to be where I am today, hence the need for naming my son after him,” he said

” First and foremost, I want to thank God for the gift of a son and to thank my colleagues, the SSG, Barr Mohammed Aliyu, Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, the state APC Caretaker Committee Secretary and other well wishers for rejoicing with me.

” I pray God to protect, bless and give my son sound health who I named him after Sen. Umaru Al- Makura.

” I want to assure that I will ensure his proper upbringing in a Godly way for the development of my family and the societal at large ,” he said.

Hon. Angibi has assured the people of his constituency of more dividends of democracy in order to improve on their standard of living.

 

” I will continue to key into positive  policies and programmes that will change the lives of my constituents and other people positively, ” he said.

He solicited for support from all and sundry to enable him succeed.

The lawmaker called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to support Gov.Abdullahi Sule’s administration and other leaders to succeed.

He urged the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to live in peace, be law abiding and be their  brother’s keepers irrespective of their affiliations.

He urged Muslims and other Nigerians to use the Ramadan period to pray for the unity, peace and development of the country.

Earlier, Mallam Jibrin Liman Tanko, the Chief Imam of Agyaragu Central Mosque, who led other clerics while presiding over the naming prayers urged parents  to inculcate moral values on their children for societal development.

He said that children are special  gift from God, hence the need for parents to train their children in a godly way.

The chief imam also prayed for the success of leaders as well as for the unity, peace, progress  and development of the state and the country at large.

It would be reported that Hon Tanko Tunga, Hon Mohammed Muluku, Hon Suleiman Yakubu, Hon Ismaeel Danbaba, SSG, Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, the state APC Caretaker Committee Secretary among other well wishers attended the naming ceremony.
