In Lokoja, Nigerianpost Publisher celebrates birthday in orphanage home, urges Nigerians to support vulnerable people.

A Journalist and publisher of the Nigerianpost Newspaper, Mr Abu Michael has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of vulnerable people in the society as to give them the necessary support in areas of education, health and empowerment.

Abu Michael who is the Publisher Editor in Chief of the Nigerian Post Newspaper made stated this on Thursday when he visited Stagi Cornerstone Orphanage home Lokoja as part of activities marking his birthday.

The Publisher explained that when you help an orphanage, you can say that you have “transformed the world and made a positive impact on people’s lives,” said visiting orphanages is to show compassion, love and care.

Abu called on Nigerians to always take a break from their everyday routine to learn more about themselves, gain a renewed perspective about life, and plan for their future through visits to orphanages.

When people visit orphanages and other places like hospitals, correctional facilities, Abu explained that it lives every moment to the fullest and create lifelong memories with people of all ages, said the time for Nigerians to reawaken the culture of giving helping hands to the vulnerable in view of the economic challenges facing the people remains now.

The Publisher listed several benefits when people help orphanages and orphans, says beyond giving back to the community, volunteering he added can actually teach invaluable lessons of having the opportunity to discover aspects oneself that you did not realize you had.

Abu added that volunteering is beneficial to health pointing out that it has impact on mental and physical level to include relieving stress, satisfaction of helping others, stabilize your emotions and making you to develop a healthy sense of self-worth.

The Publisher encouraged the children to live life with high hopes explaining that the efforts they put in obedience, discipline and learning, is what separates them from becoming who they want to be, lauded the managers of the orphanage for their positive impacts to humanity.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of gift items to the home and prayers by the children for the publisher who was accompanied by his children, Joshua and Jesse Abu.
