Indigent Families, Beneficiaries Of Housing Project Lauds Sen Ekwunife For Her Initiative

As part of effort to fulfill her campaign promises, Two of the numerous 3-bedroom bungalows facilitated by Senator Ekwunife was today, January 20, 2021 inspected by the Anambra Central Project Monitoring committee led by the former Commissioner for Women Affairs Anambra State, Lady Henrietta Agbata.

Kingsley Ubani, SA Media to Senator Uche Ekwunife in a statement issue on Wednesday said the committee visited the site in line with its mandate to supervise and assess ongoing projects attracted by Senator Ekwunife in the Senatorial District.

The 3-bedroom bungalow projects in Nawfia and Nri are part of 14 of such projects flagged off by Ekwunife in November 2020, across Anambra Central Senatorial District.

Widely celebrated for attracting the first of its kind project geared towards addressing the housing needs of selected beneficiaries who were found not to have decent roofs over their heads, Ekwunife had in November 2020, during the flag-off of the project in Oba, Idemili South stated that the projects were motivated by the need to bring succour to indigent families in the District.

Tears of Joy from Mrs Amaka Nwune and Mrs Bessy Okafor who are beneficiaries of the Nri and Nawfia Bungalows suggest that their lives and that of their families have changed for good.

In the words of the PDP Chairman Njikoka Local Government, Chief Anaeto Chibueze (Ojukwu Njikoka) who spoke at the Nawfia project site, “Where ever Senator Ekwunife is getting the resources for these great projects, may she continue in the stride of executing the projects which are targeted at alleviating the suffering of the masses”.

As the committee inspected the projects, the Leader of the project team, Lady Henrietta Agbata assured that the super-performing Senator remains poised to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people. She called for more support and prayers for the Senator, particularly in her aspiration to become the next Governor of Anambra State.

Aside the PDP Chairman Njikoka Local Government Area, the Vice Chairman PDP Nawfia Ward 2, Onuorah Allison, Secretary PDP Nawfia ward 2, Mr Thomas Okeke, PDP Youth leader Nawfia Ward 2, Odinnaka Umeadi, PDP Chairman Nri Ward 2, Mr Okonkwo Chijioke, PDP Woman leader Nri ward 2, Mrs Gladice Anyaji were PDP executives who were joined by some Coordinators of Senator Ekwunife’s campaign organization at the LGA and Ward levels.

Other members of the project committee present include, the Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former General Manager Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, Former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo and the Project Manager Anambra Central Liaison Office, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko.
