Keana: Nasarawa Majority leader, Omadefu tasks traditional rulers on peace

The Majority Leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu has appealed to traditional rulers in Keana local government area to summon political leaders of the area to broker peace for the growth and development of the local government.

He made the call while hosting the traditional ruler of Agaza, the Osoku of Agaza, HRH Mohammed Adeka at his office in Lafia, Tuesday.

Hon Omadefu (APC) representing Keana constituency said the importance of peace to human and societal development can not be overemphasized, hence the need for his appeal in that direction.

He said that peace was priceless and non- negotiable while calling for all hands to be on deck to promote peace and enhance development in Keana LGA.

The traditional ruler of Agaza the Osoku of Agaza, HRH Mohammed Adeka led his subjects to pay a congratulatory visit to the majority leader, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Mohammed Adamu Omadefu on his emergence as the leader of the seventh assembly and to table pertinent appeal on developmental issues concerning Agaza community and the area at large.

Omadefu said political leaders in Keana local government have allowed their political ambitions to override the interest of the community where caution is thrown on the wind thus resulting to crises and litigations.

The lawmaker said elected and appointed political leaders from Keana for the past 4 years have not brought any development to the area, rather they devoted their resources and energy in pursuing court cases, therefore appealing to the traditional rulers of Keana local government to call for a parley.

On the the request put forward by the traditional ruler of Agaza, the majority leader assured him that he will not renege on his promises of bringing electricity and security post to Agaza community.

Omadefu assured of purposeful and quality representation at the state legislature.

The majority leader called on the people of the area to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule administration to succeed.
