KOBA Cheetah Gold Award: Omadefu re-assures of commitment to education, humanity

“… he was the youngest Nigerian so far in history to get the KOBA highest gift, Cheetah Gold Award…”

Member Representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu has emerged as the youngest prominent Nigeria so far in history to get the highest gift of Keffi Old Boys Association KOBA, the Cheetah Gold Award.

He was conferred with the award at an event held at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre Abuja Saturday.

Hon. Muhammed Adamu Omadefu dedicated the Cheetah Award of Excellence he received from Keffi Old Boys Association ( KOBA) an Umbrella body for the alumni of Government College, Keffi, Nasarawa State to Gov. Abdullahi Sule and Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

Hon. Amadeus who is the Chairman of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Information and a KOBA member said that he would continue to contribute his quota positively to the development of Government College, Keffi, education, and humanity at large.

” I am overwhelmed and happy with this Cheetah Award as you can see that among 16 very Important Personalities that have received the awards, I am the youngest.

” Gov. Abdullahi Sule, Gov Samuel Ortom, Gov. Simon Lalong, the Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Edward Adamu, Brig. General Kazir among others also received the Cheetah awards.

” This award is a recognition of my contributions through the leadership of KOBA of Government College Keffi as they have recognized my contributions.

” They have seen/ find me worthy to be given such an award and I am fortunate at my age to receive the Cheetah award.

” I want to appreciate KOBA for the award as they have noticed and identified my positive contributions to the development of the school.

” This Cheetah award will spur me to do more as I will continue to contribute positively to the development of the institution, Nigeria and Humanity,” he said.

“I dedicate the award to God Almighty and my amiable leaders Gov. Abdullahi Sule and Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi”

Amadeus has called on Members of KOBA and other Well-meaning Nigerians to continue to contribute their quota positively to the development of the school.

” Government College, Keffi has produced prominent Nigerians that have served both within and outside the country and its members have excelled in different fields.

” I am appealing to all, that we should continue to assist to see that the institution stands center of excellence,” he said.

He added that the importance of education to societal development could not be overemphasized, hence the need for his call in that direction.

Besides, the lawmaker has reassured the people of the constituency of his determination to initiate more projects and empower them more, if re-elected for a second term come 2023.

He called on the people of the state to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023.

The lawmaker has also urged the people of the state and Nigerians at large to be law-abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace, and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations for development to thrive.

It would be reported that KOBA through its President General, Engr. Edward Ujege has given Cheetah awards to 16 personalities for their immense contributions to the development of Government College, Keffi, Nigeria, and Humanity.

They include Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Gov.Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Brig.Gen.KA. Kazir, Mr. Edward Adamu, Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN), Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly

Others are Mallam Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education, Amb. Denis Anthony, Mr. Paul Unongo, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Jibrin, Justice James Ogebe ( Rtd), Alhaji SM Zakari, Alhaji Isyaka Dauda, Prof. Abdullahi Alkali Abba, Sen. Maina Ma’aji Lawan, and Arch Shehu Ahmed Tukur.
