Kogi Assembly Speaker promises to work with APC Media Team

The speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has assured Lokoja Local Government APC Media Team of his preparedness to involve them in his scheme of things.

He gave the assurance on Monday at an interactive session he had with them in Lokoja.

The Speaker expressed gratitude for the work put in by members during his aspiration and campaigns, noting that they contributed immensely to his victory.

He promised to use his office to ensure they were empowered, stating that he would involve their members in his activities throughout his stay in office.

According to the speaker, gone are the days when people would work for a party and not gain from their efforts, assured them that he would do what is necessary to give them a sense of belonging.

In their separate addresses, the head of the group, Hon Mohammed Adamu applauded the speaker for his open door policy, even as he noted that they would continue to promote the APC and government at all levels.

Hon Adamu, who is the party’s publicity secretary for Lokoja Local Government Area, noted that he and his members have worked assiduously for the party and would continue to do so.

The Director General for the group, Mallam Abbas Yahaya, who presented the group’s position, said they have worked for the party and have continued to work for the APC, hence the need for them to be given necessary support to function in their various endeavours as educated individuals with varying certifications.

He appealed for the creation of enabling environment for them to realise their dreams and justify the essence of their support for the APC.
