Kogi election: Vice chair, Olamaboro LG felicitates with governor elect, Ahmed Ododo
The Vice chairman of Olamaboro local government in Kogi state, Hon (Mrs). Blessing Aisha Ekele have congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, now governor elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo over his victory in the just concluded gubernatorial election in kogi state.
The council vice chairman in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday, said the victory of the party at the polls mark a new beginning in the anal of political engineering and leadership in the state.
She stressed that the governor elect, Ahmed Ododo deserved the victory considering his antecedents, while in an act of governance in the state .
The Magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state added that the governor elect who was presented with his certificates of return on Friday by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) symbolises a flame of continuity, having learnt alot under the indefatigable leadership of governor Yahaya Bello for almost eight years .
” Ahmed Usman Ododo is a square peg in a square hole. He remains the most rightful person to express the principle of continuity of our great leader, governor Yahaya Bello whose tenure expires next year by constitutional injunction.
“As a member of the kitchen cabinet of our dear leader, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, he has learnt a lot to impact that gained knowledge to improve the living standard of the citizens of the state.
“For years, it has come to our knowledge that the governor elect is a listening leader ; a die hard loyalist and an astute political stalwart that the state will continue to be safe under his care”, she said .
However, the Vice chairman added that the happiness of women folk knew no bound as Ododo emerged as the next governor of the state.
According to her, this is because the female folks have implicit believe in him that he would replicate the recognition accorded the women by governor Bello under his impactful administration.
She said: ” Women in this state had it so great under governor Yahaya Bello’s administration. Many were appointed to various position of trust. Several others were elected to play one role or the other , which has given us a voice for the first time since the state was created.
“As you are about to assume the office of the governor of the state by the virtue of popular mandate as exemplified by the voters in 11th November governorship election, may you be guided by elastic wisdom to tend this state to a lofty heart. Congratulation, His excellency!
“Our greatest thanks go to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for believing in the principle of continuity and ensuring that everything is done right for the party to coast home the victory.
