The Kogi State Governorship candidate for Action Alliance, AA, Otunba Braimoh Olayinka has reveled that his major interest in politics was to ensure Kogi lost glory is restored by bringing the change that would have direct bearing to his peoples live irrespective of religion and tribe differences.
He lamented that the poverty rate in Kogi State is very high, which he said propelled him sacrifice towards rescuing his people from decade of maladministration by the successive governments that governed and still governing the state to date.
The AA Guber candidate stated this while addressing some groups in Kabba, the administrative headquarters of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area western district of the State.
According to him, he has a well nurture plan/manifesto that will defeat poverty and give room for transformation in the State.
He said Kogi with enormous minerals resources shouldn’t be poor if the experience people were given the opportunity serve.
He stressed that the Confluence State need a Messiah that would fast track development to an expected destination inline with founding fathers vision and mission, which he said center on unity, peace, progress and development of all.
The young politician described his personality as an unusual candidate from new political party in the State, noting that the massive defections opposition members into his Party is a clear demonstration that he has been adopted as a sole candidate to rescue the State.
He pledged to run an open door policy where wealth will be distributed equally to the entire State.
“It has come to my notice that I’m being sponsor by the incumbent Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, it’s not true, those spreading rumours are on the losing side. ”
“i’m not contesting election based on ethnic agenda but based on the Solid Mineral, Tourism, Agriculture and Trade (STAT) Agenda, which I beloved strongly will change the narrative and bring the state out poverty to prosperity.”
“I bought my former to contest election, no one sponsoring me not even the present Governor, Yahaya Bello, I haven’t met Kogi State Governor or communicated with him. Otunba Braimoh explained.
He said no amount of lies and propaganda can stop him even as he said leadership comes from Almighty God.
He advised those peddling lies to stop, saying he will not be deterred but focused on his goal of becoming the next Governor of Kogi State.
“Those Spreading Fake News of Yahaya Bello Bankrolling Me Are Scared of My Rising Political Profile. I’ve never seen Yahaya Bello and Ododo before. They claimed I don’t have structure and money to contest and why are they spreading the fake news? I’m not stepping down for anybody and I am your next Governor”. While urging his supporters and people of Kogi State to disregard the rumour, the AA Governorship Candidate urged the AA party’s Local Government and Ward Executives to continue its aggressive ward-to-ward campaign by preaching the gospel of wealth creation and distribution in the State.
In his response, Kabba\Bunu Local Government AA Chairman, James Sunday (aka Computer) expressed optimism of Victory for the Party in the next month’s Gubernatorial election, urging the people of the State to embrace the good intentions of Otunba Braimoh for the prosperity of the State.
