Kogi LG APC tours 11 electoral wards on sensitization, lauds GYB for community devt. security

The Kogi-Koton-Karfe local government chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has lauded Governor Yahaya Bello’s led government for impacting meaningfully on the lives of their people in areas of socioeconomic and security.

The APC said the area has had witnessed tremendous development and security of lives and properties since Governor Yahaya Bello assumed office 7 years ago.

Engineer Abubakar Muhammed Bashir known as Gegu, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, in an interview with Global Times Nigeria Correspondent on Monday, confirmed that the leadership of the party and stakeholders comprising youths, women and elders toured round the entire 11 wards of the council as part of efforts to interface with the people across Kogi LG.

The Commissioner also acknowledge the relentless of efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello to give the area peace and massive development in areas of rural electrification project, health, education and security among others.

Engineer Bashir Gegu disclosed that the Governor has transformed the area beyond reasonable doubt, hence to demonstrate such an open love, support and solidarity to his leadership aim at ensuring the governorship candidate gets the required vote in the upcoming November 11, 2023 election.

“We thank most profoundly, our leader and incumbent Governor, Yahaya Bello for his unwavering support as demonstrated over the years leading to massive development and peace of the area.”

Mr. Gegu recalls, how the area was neglected some years back by some unfocused and selfish leaders, but with coming of Governor Yahaya Bello, the entire story has changed for good.

According to Gegu, the feed back is positive is something to write home about, noting that the people of Kogi LG resolved to sustain development, peace and security with a pledged to ensure Ahmed Usman Ododo, the party candidate is voted in the November 11 gubernatorial election.

Global Times Nigeria reports that the party structure visited the following wards, Odaki, Ukwo, Girinya, and Kogi/Kotonkarfe South East (KKSE)

Others include, Irenodu, Akpasu, Tawari, Gegu North, Gegu South, Chikara North and Chikara South.

The team had relevant stakeholders, party’s structures, serving and former leaders from units, ward, LG and state levels.
