Kogi State Commissioner for solid minerals and natural resources, Hon. High Chief Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu has approved the appointment of Mr. Abu Bilal Bin Adam as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media.
According to a statement signed and release on Wednesday evening by the Commissioner, Hon. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the appointment is with immediate effect.
“The appointment was made based on merit, experience and competency of Abu Bilal” the statement confirmed.
The young Commissioner said hard-work, zeal, commitment and sacrifices made by some Kogi local youths before, during and after the struggle informed his decision to bring them into the system.
He stressed the need to always have that spirit of rewarding people who had has contributed immensely to the success of any struggle no matter where they came from, tribe, religion and differ political opinions should not determined or hinder such rewards to party stalwarts.
He maintained that so many people were in his payroll as part of efforts to reward them and being them into the government of Governor Yahaya Adozo Bello who ‘s has total regard for youths in the State and country in general.
” The new appointee, Abu Bilal isn’t the only person on my payroll but his commitment to the cause of Kogi State project endeared me to him which finally led to this destination. “
Engineer Bashir Gegu explained that recent development was to encourage those who thinks the party have abandoned them, urged them to keep faith with the party, saying working for realization of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello’s presidency should be their onward watch words and mission that is already mother of all topics for discussion in the country.
“I will continue to run an open doors policy in order to give room to anyone who have genuine advise to come forward to offer the State.”
“Developing the LGA and empowering the youths is my top priority” he said.
The Commissioner therefore, urged the new appointee to bring his wealth of experience to bear and as well ensure high sense of professionalism by making good image for the Ministry and government of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
He used the medium to thanked the Governor for giving him such an opportunity to add value and change the narrative inline with his New Direction policy.
Global Times Nigeria report that the new appointee is a native of Egbira and hail from Ukwo electoral ward, Kogi-Kotonkarfe LG area of the State.
