Kogi NYCN: The invasion of youth house by Comrade Isiaka and Co

A five man committee with the State Acting Chairman in supervision was set up to look into the matter and report back.

After meeting with parties involved, the committee recommended thus:

1. TENURE TERMINATION: The leadership crises of the Lokoja local government Chapter of NYCN should be referred to the State western leadership and that of lokoja local government for proper resolution and report back to the State Executive for necessary action.

2. The Council is a training ground for the Youth, hence, it does not tolerate any act of indiscipline by its member or any other Youths under it’s command, therefore the action of Com ISIAKA Angulu Ibrahim the Coordinator of Lokoja NYCN is here by describe by this honorable committee as an act of indiscipline and thuggery and a dent on the hard earned reputation of the Youth Council, which must be condemned in it’s entirety.

3. This honorable committee hereby recommends that Com Isiaka Angulu Ibrahim should be sanctioned for his acts at the State Council premises, by writing an apology letter and should be suspended from office and Council activities for a period of 60 days subject to review. The suspended Coordinator should also write an undertaking, that going forward, he will exhibit high level of decorum in his conduct both within and outside the Council business.

4. The committee further in its review advised all the executives of the Council, both at the State and local government chapters, particularly the Zonal vice Chairmen to hence with always discharge their duties and responsibilities without any iota of bias or sentiment as the case maybe for the smooth running and proper coordination of the Council’s business at all levels. This will help enhance the rule of law and the unity of the council, thereby easing the administrative convenience of the council business.

5. For the avoiders of doubt the committee in its findings discovered that there is a discrepancies in the tenure and dissolution of the Lokoja NYCN that needs to be addressed.

6. The committee recommends that the Youth council with it’s internal mechanism for crisis resolution, has the capacity to resolve all crises arising from any form of misunderstanding, hence advice that, members should always ensure they exhaust this mechanism, before seeking for external interference. Hence the parties involved should withdraw their case from the police authority.
