Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. (Prince) M.O Kolawole representing Kabba/Bunu constituency has sponsored 172 candidates for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination, scheduled to hold soon.
The Speaker said since it has become evident that government can no longer do it alone and also in line with his campaigning promises to make education as one of his priorities, he has decided to bankroll the payment of JAMB registration for students who are willing and ready to pursue their academic career in higher institutions.
A statement signed by Femi Olugbemi, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, said the list of the beneficiaries is devoid of party sentiment, hence he decided to route it through the Students Union of Kabba and Bunu districts to forward at least 10 students per wards in the 15 wards of the constituency, while Ebira, Igbo, other communities and person living with disability (PLD) were also considered.
