The National Association Of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), has expressed its appreciation to the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello over the proactive measure he took by withdrawing Kogi indigent students from the troubled Plateau state.
National President of the Association, Comrade Rachael Mojirola Balogun, in a statement on behalf of the entire Kogi students, hailed the Governor for being sensitive to the well being of Kogi state indigenes especially the students pursuing careers at various institutions in Plateau state, where violence recently broke out claiming life of one student from the state.
Comrade Mojisola Balogun, while appreciating the Governor, described him as an award winning Governor for taking proactive steps, withdrawing indigent Students of Kogi State that are pursuing their academic careers in Plateau State following the killings in Jos.
She described Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, as the youngest governor in Nigeria who is placing Kogi State in the spotlight for tangible progress and development, that is overhauling the integrity of the State’s security sector.
The Students leader, who was extremely elated by the Governor’s swift response to the Jos crisis, noted that in his usual revolutionary manner of responsiveness ordered the immediate withdrawal of Kogi State Students from Jos, the Plateau State capital.
“You will remember the skirmishes and unrest that has characterized Jos for about a week where scores of persons have been declared dead. It was in the heat of the crisis that we lost one of our dear brother to the cold hands of death. Our prayers and good thoughts are with the family of the deceased, may his soul find eternal rest.
“Consequent upon the painful demise of a Kogi son, the Governor has taken this proactive step of evacuating the students to avoid further lost of lives of Kogi indigenes from the University of Jos and other tertiary institutions in Plateau State” the Students leader said.
According to the statement, the evacuation team is to be led by the NAKOSS National President Comrade Rachael Mojirola Balogun through the office of the Special Adviser on Youths and Students affairs Hon. Jubril Ahmadu and the Senior Special Assistant on students Matters to Kogi state Governor Hon. Babangida.

The students extolled the virtues of the Governor by acknowledging that under his leadership, Kogi state has continued to break old records and setting new ones, as his sterling performance on security matters and other critical sectors of the economy continues to pile up.
The Students therefore, through their National President Comrade Rachael Mojirola Balogun, offer their wholehearted gratitude to the Governor for his proactive measures on all issues capable of undermining the safety and welfare of Kogi state Students across the country.
They passionately reinforced their unwavering support to the state government most importantly in terms of security and also appeal to Nigerians to support the Governor to become the next President of the nation, and expecting the transformation that would greet Nigeria in the most unimaginable short period of time.
“His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello is the most suitable man for the position of the number one citizen of the country, where sound logic and antecedent matter.” The Students said.
