Kuje council chair swears – in supervisory councilors, advisers.

The chairman of Kuje area council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has sworn-in his newly appointed supervisory councilors, and Senior Special advisers, alongside council secretary and his new Chief of staff, in which he called on them to ensure they leave legacies that will stand the test of time.

Sabo, while inaugurating the new appointees during a ceremony held at the secretariat premises on Thursday, said they must sit up to ensure they accomplished the task ahead of them.

According to him, the inauguration of the new cabinet members followed his approval for the dissolution of the last council executive, which he said his administration found it necessary to select persons with requisite ideology, creativity and pragmatism.

He said his administration expected to accelerate implementation of policy decisions as well as enhance execution of programmes and projects that will impact on the lives of the people of the council.

He, however, appreciate the people of the council for giving him a resounding victory during the last year FCT area elections, which he said he won across the ten political wards.

He noted that his victory which he said he convincingly won before human and God was challenged at court, saying with prayers, the court affirmed his victory, which he said was a testimony to the collective commitment towards purposeful leadership and service delivery for the people.

Also speaking, the FCT PDP chairman, Sunday Zaka, who spoke at the occasion, urged the appointees to ensure they work in synergy with the administration in order to move the council t to a greater height.

He, however, reminded them on the need to see public service as public trust, especially that they are coming at a trying moment in the life of the administration, which he said people are yearning for more dividends of democracy.

The PDP chairman, while congratulating the newly sworn – in appointees, urged them to develop healthy personal relationships with their communities, ward in order to ensure PDP’s victory during the February 25th, 2023 election.

The newly sworn-in appointees are Hon Tanko Maiko, Council Secretary, Hon Abdullahi Sabo Senior as chief of staff, Mr. Bona Yunusa, Supervisory Councilor for Health, Mr. David Shekwo, Supervisory councilor for Environment while Mr. Emmanuel Makeri, as Supervisory councilor for Special Duties.

Others include, Zainab Bako Usman, Supervisory councilor for Education, Mr Amos Samari- Supervisory councilor for Works and Mr. Ezekiel Gimba as Supervisory councilor for Agriculture.

The Senior special Adviser’s to the chairman are Abubakar Jibrin-Works, Afiniki Adamu -Environment and Sanitation, Isah Zakari-Special Duties, Tanko Baba Zagabutu-Political matters, Kimi Baba-Health and Human Services and Oladipo,Jide Ismail, Senior Special Assistant on Education and Social Development.

Meanwhile, the council chairman also announced new Special Assistants, which are Adamu Dogo (SA) on Youth and Sport, Ayuba Shaba (SA) Peace and Conflict Resolution, Charity Gbako Umar, Girl Child Education, Udogwocha Samuel Private Partner Project, Aisha Salihu Women Affairs, Yakubu Maji, Needs and Project Assessments.

Otters include, Danladi Samuel, (SA) Water and Sanitation, Fatima Abdullah inter Party Relations, Isaac Shaba, Chieftaincy Matters, Abdullahi yusuf Gojara Scholarship and Student matters, Aliyu Zakka projects monitoring, Yusuf Ayelo Inter religious matters, Audu Bagudu, Empowerment and Skill Acquisition, Hajara Celestine Revenue Generation.

Also appointed are, Markus Gbagba, Community Development, Kasimu Saidu Legislative matters, Godwin Poyi Security matters, Mohammed Kanti Gude, Voters Education and Awareness, Mboyaye Tanko, Social mobilisation and Sensitization, Habila Ishaku Leda (SA) Land and Secretary Land Adjudication and Habila Ishaku as (SA) Party Coordination.
