” Speaker Balarabe’s First Lady, Hajiya Maryam makes a surprise visit, welcomes the new bride, Rukaiyat into the family in a ground style.
It was a Legislative occasion today on Sawalino Hotel, Keffi as both federal and state lawmakers joined Nasarawa Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi to rejoice with his will be wife, Rukaiyat, who held a Mother’s Day occasion ahead of her wedding billed for next tommorow, Saturday, November, 2021.
The brief and colourful event which was well attended featured speeches of encouragements, peace, unity and oneness, especially in marital home to build a peaceful and united family.
Interestingly however, the event had its topmost and high side attractions as a result of dancing steps showcased by the bride and the groom, Speaker of the state Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who showcased his dancing steps and excitements.
Senator, Godiya Akwashiki ( APC- Nasarawa North) and other colleagues of the speaker joined in what can be best described as a dancing race or competition.
This was followed by a surprised visit and entering of the first wife of the Speaker Hajiya Maryam Balarabe who embraced her new co-wife an episode that added more salt to the event.
Hon Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the House while speaking at the occasion advised the couple to show understanding, be patient with each other for the progress of their family.
He congratulated the bride and the groom as well as hailed the success of the Mother’s Day.
He urged those who are yet to get married to do so and others with one or two to add more considering how women are out numbering men in the society.
The Majority Leader prayed God to blessed the marriage and the family.
In his vote of thanks, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, the Secretary, All Progressives Congress ( APC) Nasarawa State chapter appreciated all those that came from far and near to grace the occasion.
He has also congratulated the bride and the groom for agreeing to marry each other and wish them well.
The APC state Secretary wished dignitaries and other well wishers safe journey to their various destinations.
