A Former Governorship Aspirant in Nasarawa State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015, His Excellency, Comrade Abubakar Yusuf Doma, says his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is to enable him align with the developmental strides of the Governor Abdullahi A. Sule led administration in the State.
Comrade Abubakar Yusuf Doma stated this in a telephone conversation with Globaltimesnigeria.com.
He said part of his plans in life is to add more value to the lives of others, pointing out that such platform have been created by the present administration in the State; hence the need to pitch his tent with the APC.
“In life, even in Religion there’s freedom to make decisions you felt will be of positive influence. That’s why I decided to now pitch my tent with the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Nasarawa State. When you also look at the antecedents of the incumbent Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, you will discover that the State have been taking a different shape under his reign for the best, that’s what we’ve been clamoring for, a developed State different from what we used to have. He has also created enabling environment for everyone to bring what they have to the table, that’s why I have to align myself and my supporters also thought it wise to come along with me”
He continued “Governor Sule is one man that carries everyone along irrespective of your religion, tongue, name them. He believes so much in what you can bring to the table to foster change as such, we have to come in our numbers to be a member of the one big family (APC)”
He stressed that not less than 1,000 thousand youths from Doma LG defected with him to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that their support is unalloyed.
The 2015 Governorship Aspirant said he has no plan of contesting for any position before deciding to join APC saying that his plan is to join the party and make positive impact.
“I don’t have any underlying ambition to come contest for any position, I came to work with the Governor Sule’s APC-led administration in Nasarawa State for the progress and development of the State, nothing else. Also, most of my political mentors are all members of APC so it is wisdom for a son to align himself with where his fathers pitched their tents”
Last Saturday, 6th February 2021, H.E, Comrade Abubakar Yusuf Doma, defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside his numerous supporters, a courageous step which has served as a plus to the APC in the State.
