Nasarawa Assembly Expresses Total Commitment To Support Home Based Football Club, Nasarawa United FC Through Passage Of Favorable Legislative Bills.
In their collective bid to rally round the home based football club to succeed, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Wednesday said the State legislative arm will continue to support Nasarawa United Football Club to succeed in both domestic and continental football Club.
The Speaker stated this when the chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club, Barr. Isaac Danladi, presented him with replica jerseys of the Club at his residence in Lafia today.
While commending the giant efforts of the club enjoined them to keep the flag flying and build on the solid foundation the club have put place and assured that the assembly under his leadership will support the club through passage of favourable legislative bills.
“I feel truly honoured for this august visit to present kits of our darling Club, Nasarawa United, to me.
“I have been following the club events within and outside the state, and I can confidently said i am proud of you guys.

“I want to tell you that both members of the Assembly and myself truly appreciate the efforts you are putting in place to uplift the status of the club to an enviable heights.
“Nasarawa United is a household name, not only here in Nasarawa State, but the whole country. So, I want to single you (Barr. Danladi) out for commendation because you have actually demonstrated professionalism in your responsibility and I want to urge you to continue in that spirit.”
Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi assured the Chairman and members of the Solid Miners of the Assembly’s continuous support to attain its set goals.
“As an Assembly, consider us as partners in progress, and we won’t hesitate to give you and the club all the necessary legislative backup for the purpose of taking the state to greater heights, including picking up another Continental ticket this term, because you have given us hope”, he added.
On his part, Barr. Isaac Danladi told the Speaker that the visit was to appreciate him for all the wonderful support and kindness the Club has been enjoying from him.
He added that the visit was also to appreciate the Assembly members support to the club and the attention the club always get from the house during it’s budget defence.

“Aside that, you have been an ardent supporter of Nasarawa United and this goes down to when you accompanied the Club during its Continental engagements in Algeria and Senegal respectively, some years ago.”
Barr. Danladi who is the Chairman, Nigeria Professional Football League Club Owners’ Association, assured the Speaker that the club would do everything within its powers to pick one of the available Continental tickets before the 2020/2021 NPFL Season comes to an end .
“I want to assure you this time around, that by the special grace of God, and with the support of the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, coupled with the support of your members, Nasarawa United shall get a Continental ticket again.”
Recalled that after the end of the first stanza of the 2020/2021Nigeria Professional Football League Season, Nasarawa United was placed 6th on the league log, with 30 points from nineteen matches, six points behind table-topping Kwara United.
