Nasarawa Assembly will Enhance Its Synergy with Information Outfits to Disseminate Government Policies and programs

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Information today Monday hosts the State Ministry for Information, Culture, and Tourism as well as the management of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, es (NBS), on their 2022 budget defense.

 

Chairman, House Committee on Information, Hon. Muhammad Adamu Omedefu ( APC Keana) while hosting the government outfits gave the assurance that the committee will enhance its synergy and support for them to promote government activities.

He observed that in the last two and half years, Governor Abdullahi Sule has performed well, hence the need for the committee to enhance its synergy with the Information agencies to give more publicity to the programs and policies of the government to the public.

Hon. Omadefu charged Information Ministry and NBS to think outside the box and come out with more public enlightenment programs to educate the people more on government activities, especially the achievement of the present administration under Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The Committee Chairman and members deliberated extensively on the 2022 budget of the Ministry of Information and NBS where observations and general comments were made on gray areas.

Speaking separately, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Barrister Yusuf Musa, and the Acting General Manager of NBS, Mr. Aloko Flashman explained in, detail their budget provisions, areas that need assembly intervention among other critical areas on how to achieve maximum budget implementation.
