The Vice Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Toto local government area of Nasarawa state, Alhaji Haruna Abubakar Kwanakis, has expressed confidence that the ruling APC shall emerged victorious in the council election in the area.
Kwanakis, while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at his Umaisha garage open space polling unit on Wednesday, said the massive turn out of voters across polling units in Toto metropolis was a clear indication that APC will win the election.
He said the achievements of the ruling APC administration within the last three years, especially in the area of security, rural infrastructures and education sector was also an advantage to the party clinching to victory.
According to him, the APC led administration under the leadership of the executive governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Sule, was a clear testimony of what motivated the good people of Toto local government to embrace the ruling party ahead of the council election.
“And thank God, you press men have gone round the various polling units especially within Toto town and you people can see the massive turn out of eligible voters who came out to cast their votes for the ruling APC. And that gives me the confidence that we shall emerge victorious at the end of the polls,” he added.
The vice chairmanship candidate commended the state INEC, electoral officials, security agents for their neutrality in the election, saying the neutrality of the security agents has ensured the election to be rancour free without any violence.
