Toto/Gadabuke Lawmaker, Labaran Shafa, Toto Youths To Hold Town Hall Meeting As Part Of Efforts To Transform The Area.

Youths of Toto Local Government Council has lauded the tireless efforts of the lawmaker representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

The group was ably led by Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Toto Local Government Council, Comrade Musa Mansir Bashir on a courtesy call on the lawmaker on Monday, at his office Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

Comr. Bashir said they were in Lafia to commend his effort so far for moving a motion to established a special Scholarship scheme for medical students, a motion to end devastating gully erosion, support to General hospital by providing two volunteer (nurses), employment of some youths into full civil service among others things.

According to the youth leader, “part of our meeting with the lawmaker was to prevailed on him to Organize a town hall meeting where he will interface with youths of his constituency for a more development drive policies that will have direct bearing to his people”.

The youth leader was supported by NAUS Senate President, Comr. Ibrahim Muhammed Lawal, Prince Muhammad Onairo and others.

On his part, Hon. Usman Labaran shafa, member who represent Toto/Gadabuke constituency at the Nasarawa Sta Assembly, APC, has reassured of his commitment towards building a vibrant institution and transform the constituency that would be beneficial to everyone.

Labaran shafa, thanked the youth leaders for finding him worthy for the visit. For also acknowledging his efforts in Securing an appointment for some persons in his constituent and other notable empowerment program among other thing is highly commendable.

According to the lawmaker,
“To make laws that will bring ease of life to my constituent is not negotiable and will always be my top priority”.

“As a legislators, we must not disappoint the electorates because of the confidence they reposed in us”.

However, the lawmaker said that his constituent being one of most largest and at the most vantage position in the state could not afford to lag behind in the developmental drive after being championed by various arm of governments.

According to him, there is the need to build a strong, sustainable political base for the constituency, both for the benefits of the present and the incoming generations.

Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, said its various achievement were part of a larger developmental drive tailored toward improving the capacity of the constituent across all spheres of human endeavours.

He expressed confidence that the need for a paradigm shift from inducement based political campaign ideology to a popularity and performance based in electing leaders to achieve the desired growth, progress and development.

“I have the strong believe and conviction that we are in this business together to play our roles to achieve the expectations of our people”.
