Nothing has changed in Abia, julius berger using Diggers and Hoes to construct road—Party Stalwart, Uchegbu insists

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain from Abia State, Pastor Ugochukwu Uchegbu, has stated that nothing has changed in Abia since formal inauguration of the present government controlled by the Labour Party in the state.
Uchegbu stated also that Governor Alex Otti has failed so far to justify the mandate entrusted to him by people of the state several attacks and accusation of poor performances by the incumbent, against the past administration led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made his feelings known in a statement on Friday, following the ensuing exchange of brickbats between political appointees of the immediate-past administration and the incumbent, necessisated by the recent inauguration of judicial probe panel by the state governor.
Reecall that Governor Otti had charged members of the state judicial panel of Iniqury chaired by Honorable Justice Ikwuoma Duruoha-Igwe(rtd), to recover government properties and public funds allegedly looted by political appointees who served under the immediate past administration of former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Mr Uchegbu, the immediate-past State House of Assembly candidate of the PDP during the just-concluded 2023 elections held in Abia by the Independent National Electoral Commission, while earlier baring his minds, regretted that Abia people are faced with a system of government akin to tyranny, accusing Otti’s administration of resorting to excuses, cheap blackmail and blame games
“When PDP was on board, they experienced attacks for almost every single move they made. Ikpeazu’s convoy was attacked, his road maintenance system, refuse disposal system, virtually everything. Today, what has changed,”he queried.
The party stalwart opined: “Today, we are faced with a system of government akin to tranny. We have said it time without number, until you people will maintain focus and leave Ikpeazu alone, the better for them. He did pay salaries, pensions etc for eight years, we know. Otti should pay. Assets and liabilities are inherited Tinubu
“Otti and group did all they did to see to it that the African Development Bank (AFDB) loan never got to Abia state. But today, that loan has been approved. We are still watching to see him reject that loan”.
Continuing, Uchegbu claimed: “In Abia today, we see Julius Berger using diggers, hoes, shovels doing roads maintenance. Local government workers are owed, yet the monies are there. What this Government is hiding is what we don’t understand. And let me tell them, if not for wickedness on the path of some PDP members who want to be everywhere at all cost, Alex Otti wouldn’t have been Governor.
“He is not God sent. We know his antecedents. We are not bothered because we know he is very vindictive. Let him settle down and work,”he advised.
